Newspaper
The first issue of the newspaper, "The Butterfly Effect" was emailed out to students last Fri. We received a truly positive response!

Spanish II
What we've done:
The students have reviewed the present tense, verbs from Spanish I, colors, numbers, etc. etc. The students have also translated many cultural articles in class and written a restaurant dialog and performed it.
What we're doing:
Currently, the students are studying the regular and irregular preterite tense - conjugating verbs in the regular and irregular preterite, translating in the preterite tense, etc. etc.
Homestudies, Upcoming Quizzes, etc.:
Today in class the students were given their Study Guide for Friday's Major Test.
The study guide is due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
We will go over the study guide tomorrow in class and play a review game (time allowing).
FRIDAY --> TEST I
Upcoming:
We'll begin Unit II Mexico

In addition, the students studied the Quinceañera and viewed the movie Sweet 15. About the quince anos tradition in the Latin American world.
What we're doing:
Currently, Spanish I students are looking at Family vocabulary and stringing together sentences.
Homestudies / Upcoming Quizzes / Tests:
A collage is due by the end of class tomorrow of 15 photographs with 15 sentences / captions en espanol about the photographs in the collage.
Also, there is a quiz Friday over the Family vocabulary.
Please bring in a few pictures of your own family for Friday's class.
